Kia Ceed GT
At DTMK Driving School, you will learn in a modern, carefully prepared 2023 Kia Ceed GT with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This vehicle has been specifically selected and equipped to provide a safe, comfortable, and professional learning environment for learner drivers in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.
Everything about the vehicle has been chosen to help you build confidence, develop your skills, and prepare fully for real world driving.
A professionally maintained dual controlled vehicle
The car is fitted with full dual controls, allowing your instructor to assist if necessary. While these are rarely needed, they provide an important safety net during the learning process and allow you to build confidence in a controlled environment.
Our vehicle is supplied and maintained by ADINDI (UK) Ltd, a specialist provider of instructor vehicles. This ensures the car is professionally maintained, regularly inspected, and replaced at least every three years. You can be confident that you are learning in a reliable and modern vehicle.
Modern safety systems
The vehicle is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, often referred to as ADAS. These include features such as automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assistance.
These systems provide an additional layer of safety, although you will always be taught to drive independently and safely without relying on technology.
We have also fitted premium all-season tyres to ensure excellent grip and stability in all weather conditions. This provides better connection with the road surface, particularly during wet or cold conditions common in the UK.
Subtle footwell lighting allows your instructor to clearly observe pedal control during the early stages of learning, helping you develop smooth and accurate clutch and brake control.
The vehicle is also fitted with a modern illuminated roof sign, which helps other road users recognise that you are a learner driver, particularly in the evening. This often encourages more patient and understanding behaviour from other drivers.
Equipment to prepare you for the driving test
Although the vehicle has a built-in navigation system, we also use the same TomTom satellite navigation model used by DVSA examiners during UK driving tests.
This allows you to become familiar with its appearance and behaviour well before your test day, helping to reduce uncertainty.
We also carry an iPad during lessons, which allows us to view satellite images of complex junctions, roundabouts, and unfamiliar areas. This can be extremely helpful when introducing new locations or reviewing situations after a drive. Being able to visualise an area calmly beforehand often makes everything feel much easier when you encounter it in real life.
The vehicle is fitted with a Blackvue three channel dash camera system. This allows us to review learning situations if helpful, providing additional opportunities to support your development and understanding.
Comfort features that help you stay relaxed and focused
Learning to drive requires concentration, so comfort is important.
The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. These features help ensure you remain comfortable throughout your lesson, particularly during colder months.
A calm, comfortable environment helps you focus fully on developing your driving skills.
Comprehensive safety equipment carried on every lesson
In addition to the vehicle’s built in safety systems, we carry a range of additional equipment to ensure your safety in all situations.
This includes high visibility jackets, a fire extinguisher, tyre pressure gauges, and an electric tyre inflator. These allow us to respond safely if needed and also provide useful opportunities to demonstrate real world vehicle safety checks.
The vehicle also carries a comprehensive first aid kit and defibrillator. As DTMK also provides professional first aid training, we believe lifesaving equipment should be available if ever needed.
Prepared for unexpected situations
Unlike many modern vehicles, which rely on temporary repair kits, this vehicle carries a full-size spare wheel and complete tool kit.
This allows us to deal properly with something as simple as a puncture, even late in the evening or on quieter roads. Most importantly, it ensures we are always able to get you home safely at the end of your lesson.
