Mock Tests
Feel Ready. Not Lucky.
A mock driving test is one of the best ways to prepare for the real thing. It replaces uncertainty with clarity and gives you a realistic picture of your standard before test day.
At DTMK Driving School, our instructors carry out structured mock tests that closely follow the official DVSA format. The aim is simple. To help you understand exactly where you stand.
Whether you’re already learning with us or with another instructor, you are welcome to book a mock test.

What Is a Mock Driving Test?
A mock test is a full practice driving test carried out under realistic test conditions.
-
It includes:
-
Eyesight check
-
Vehicle safety question
-
Independent driving section
-
Manoeuvre
-
A variety of road types
-
Marking in line with DVSA standards
You’ll receive a full breakdown of driver faults and any serious faults, followed by clear, structured feedback.
No drama. No exaggeration. Just honest professional assessment.
Learning With Parents or Another Instructor?
That’s absolutely fine.
We regularly assess learners who are training elsewhere but want an independent opinion before their practical test.
-
Sometimes learners are looking for:
-
A second perspective
-
A confidence boost
-
Honest feedback before committing to test day
-
Help identifying recurring driver faults
There is no pressure to change instructors. You are simply booking a professional mock assessment with one of our DVSA Approved Driving Instructors.

Why Book a Mock Test With DTMK?
Our instructors are:
-
DVSA Approved Driving Instructors
-
Experienced in structured assessment
-
Skilled at delivering clear, constructive feedback
-
Familiar with Milton Keynes and surrounding test areas
We do not just tell you what went wrong. We explain why it happened and how to fix it.
That clarity is what builds confidence.
Who Is It Suitable For?
Mock tests are ideal if:
-
Your practical test is already booked
-
You have failed previously and want to avoid repeat faults
-
You feel unsure about your current standard
-
You are close to test ready and want a final check
Many learners say this is the session that helped everything fall into place.

How Long Does It Take?
We allow a full two hours for every mock driving test.
This gives time for:
-
A complete mock test under realistic conditions
-
Structured post test feedback
-
Targeted coaching on any serious faults identified
-
Or, if the drive is fault free, a second assessed drive to confirm test readiness
We never rush this session. The goal is clarity, not just ticking a box.
You leave knowing exactly where you stand and what, if anything, needs refining before test day.
Where Do We Run Mock Tests?
We currently meet in Milton Keynes and carry out mock tests in:
-
Milton Keynes
-
Leighton Buzzard
-
Northampton
Our instructors are familiar with local test routes, common pressure points, and the expectations typically seen in these areas.
You are welcome to use:
-
Your own vehicle
-
Or one of ours
If you choose to use our car, we allow 20 to 30 minutes at the start of the session for you to get comfortable with the controls before the formal mock test begins.
That way, the assessment reflects your driving ability, not unfamiliarity with a vehicle.
Mock Tests are charged at the same hourly rate as a driving lesson.
